Why Towry
Towry and the Arts
Towry is committed to supporting excellence and understanding in art and we do this through relationships with a range of partners.

Towry are sponsors of The National Open Art Competition (NOAC). NOAC aims to inspire artists, both emerging and established, and widen the public's understanding of art.
The judging panel is tasked with selecting winning pieces for the Young Artists, Best Drawings and Best Art Photography categories, as well as choosing winners for the 9 regional prizes. The first prize winner will be presented with The Towry prize. The Towry prize, along with other regional, young artist and photography prizes totals £40,000.
Artists are invited to submit their artwork from across the spectrum of contemporary art, including paintings, drawings, print and photography before the entry closing date, September 18th 2011 by visiting www.thenationalopenartcompetition.com.

In September 2011, Towry held an Autumn Evening Art Show in conjunction with TAG Fine Arts to showcase a wide range of modern art from artists including David Hockney, Andy Worhol, Damien Hirst, Banksy, Sir Peter Blake and also Katsutoshi Yuasa, who was awarded the ‘Towry prize’ at the Royal Academy of Arts earlier this year.
Nearly £3,000 was raised for Genesis Research Trust, the team of scientists and clinicians who are dedicated to researching the causes and cures for conditions that affect the health of women and babies.
Towry’s guests were joined the charity’s Patron, Fern Britton.

On September 15th 2011, Towry celebrated its one year anniversary of the opening of their new office in Haywards Heath. A selection of work from local artists provided by The National Open Art Competition, was exhibited at the anniversary party.

In 2011, Towry joined forces with The London Original Print Fair and The Royal Academy of Arts for the 26th annual Print Fair. Launched in 1985, The London Original Print Fair is the longest-running specialist print fair in the world. The Fair recently organised a new programme of talks, demonstrations and children’s workshops, made possible by the support of Towry.

In November 2010, Towry held a fundraising event exhibiting the artwork of Keith Jansz, a Member Artist for the Mouth & Foot Painting Artists.
An original work depicting the London skyline, painted from Towry’s office in New Street Square was raffled, and 20% of all painting sales from the evening went to Headway, the brain injury association which specialises in promoting understanding of all aspects of brain injury and providing information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers.
